Note: This is a temporary position that has the possibility of becoming full time.

Responsibility

The role of Project Architect is primarily a production oriented project manager position. The Project Architect will be responsible for all CAD production of his/her project, and attend client programming and design meetings to help establish client expectations, internally lead the design team, perform code analyses, initiate and maintain project communications with the entire design team, consultants and client’s stakeholders.

Additionally, the Project Architect will be responsible for overseeing and providing design document production and construction contract administration efforts, attend site meeting, prepare client design review submittals, manage consulting engineering, coordinate design documents, perform building review and participate in Close-Out preparations.

 Qualifications (minimum)
  • Must exhibit extensive knowledge in all phases of design for the supermarket and retail sector. Experience in other sectors is also desired.
  • Registered Architect
  • 5 Years minimum experience as registered Architect
  • Extremely high proficiency in the use and implementation of AutoCAD Architecture

 

Qualifications (desired, not required)
  • NCARB Certified
  • LEED AP
  • Knowledge of BIM and its implementation
  • Experience with photorealistic renderings and/or hand rendering

 

Hours & Compensation

This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday. Salary is negotiable. We expect this position to be filled by March 9th, and remain full for 3-5 months. There is a possibility this could turn into a permanent position.

The Intern Architect should be an upper level professional architecture program student, or graduate; and shall work over multiple aspects of the firm. These aspects will included architecture/design, marketing, office management, and accounting. The goal of this position is to provide the candidate with a well rounded foundation to grow on within the firm, and is for those looking to gain IDP credits. This role will assist managers, and staff members with specific tasks within their skill level to help advance a project. As the individual grows within the firm it is expected they become NCARB registered architects where they can advance to a Project Architect level position.

 

Areas of experience you will get with this position:

Architecture - Work side by side project architects to assist with drafting and design challenges, code analysis, site visits, etc.

Business Development - Assist in market research, material design and production.

Office Management  - Assist office manager in administrative duties including but not limited to permitting, and scheduling.

Accounting - Assist and coordinate with team to develop pricing for extra services, prepare reports, and various architecture related fiscal tasks.

 

Requirements:

Professional Architecture Program upper level student, or graduate.

Proficiency with AutoCAD (ADT Preferable)

Determined to become a NCARB registered architect.

Proficiency with Adobe design programs, 3d Modeling, and a keen eye for design.

 

Schedule and Compensation:

This is a full time position,  M-F. $12-$19/hr.
